Feet aside I like the guns being a Remington fan myself. My 1100 is a bit longer being a TB trap model. I do have a Win. 1300 but is the Upland Model with 24 inch barrel. Aluminum receiver but the walnut makes a nice touch. Nice to see some modern guns on the forum.
I have an 1100 also. Serial numbers on 1100s started at 1001, mine is 9463. It came with a slug and a bird barrel. I bought a 22" tactical barrel for it, had it all redone by the factory as far as springs and such, picked up a mag tube extension so now it can double as a tactical 1100 or a hunting 1100. Great shotguns the 1100s!

They are a very good gun those 1100s. Had mine since 80 and just replaced the O rings recently. Looking for a 20 gauge for bird hunting now. Like the older guns myself.

Yeah, I figure that in 1963 they made probably 200 a day, so mine is probably from the end of 1963 or very early 1964. Another bonus is that it is a Magnum gun, so I can run 3" shells. The old owner busted the original fore end, probably ran a 3" shell in the 2 3/4" barrel and over gassed it. I bought two fore ends from the 1960s as spares. I have the original stock too. They put the synthetic stuff on probably because the fore end got broken. I paid $400 for mine at a local gun shop. The older guns are still out there!
