A gun I found with no EXACT name.

Article about: I live in Alabama (US) and I found this gun in the woods while walkin. Iduno the name of it tho.. Its simular to the Panzerschreck from WW2 but there are big differences. Thanks people.

    It is indeed a PIAT.

    I wonder how it ended up there? Still a nice find.

    WOW !!

    Fancy finding a PIAT (Projectile Infantry Anti-Tank) just like that ! You lucky bugger !

    Clean it nice and carefully and you'll have an AWESOME piece.

    I somehow doubt any museum would buy it given the condition and lack of any know history surrounding this particular peice. But I am sure you will find a ready market with collectors here

    It looks like a british WWII Anti tank launcher.
    These were a nasty thing to shoot. Hard on the man useing it. Please refer too British WWII small arms. They would have a picture of it. I hope this helps.

    Is there a military base nearby? Southern Ala?And was there any other artifacts lying around? Maybe a metal detector would help you out some.
