I seem to remember that a variant of this was issued to U2 pilots as a survival pistol, or am i imagining things?.....

The silenced version was issued to U2 pilot Gary Powers. Not this one.

Thanks. It came in a Polish Random holster. The bottom was removed to allow the barrel to pass through. Rich A. in Pa.

These are great pistols. Nice find!!!

I have a High Standard Supermatic Trophy that I bought 10 or so years ago used for $200. It is beautiful with the richest bluing I've ever seen. A joy to shoot and accurate. Has a fluted barrel, gold trigger but has the sights on the slide instead of attached to the frame. I see these going for $600 or so now.
