Default How to ID a postwar MP40/STG/M1 Carbine magazine?

A local gun dealer has just recieved a ton of old military magazines. Some I recognize as M1 Carbines and MP40S, as well as Sturmgewher magazines, but how do I tell if they are post WWII? I At any rate, they're in great condition, so I'll buy one of each just for the heck of it, it's military no matter what, but I just thought this would also be a good topic for future reference.

Are there any physical characteristics? Markings?

Thanks in advance, I'll post pics when I get there.
