Hi,
It does have some initials as you can see ie, H P R, but they are N/A.

Is it a Brown Bess? H P R may well be the county

Can we see photos of the rest of the Musket?

Hi,
It is a 3 band enfiled but with a rear blade sight not a block sight, and is smoothbore, i think a bit earlier than the 1853.

Hard to tell what it is without photographs.
You say it is banded but has "a rear blade sight not a block sight" and that it is smooth bored rather than rifled. Can you define what you mean by "rear blade sight"? Does this mean a simple notched rear sight? And by "block sight", am I correct that you mean a tangent sight like that standard on the British P53? If s, then it sounds like you have a British made Indian arm for native troops after the Sepoy Mutiny. There were no banded British arms before the Pattern 53.
