I purchased this Hi Power with its holster, spare mag and cleaning rod (in Holster) when I purchased the the Mk I* with the shoulder stock. This one appears to have been used very little. Does anyone know what the 6 on the grip stands for?

Hi,
Depends on where it came from, it could be an armoury issue number, as most weapons are issued to individual soldiers /
Police ect. My S.L.R, was No 5, so i also had a 9mm browing in my rack, hope this helps.
dave.
It means it belongs to me !
No seriously as Panzer 3 said it is some sort of armoury rack or inventory number.
Fine looking example of a very good pistol.

Richie
Another fine Inglis Hi-Power..........!
I suspect the '6' is an inventory number.
Regards,
Steve.
I would agree with this theory too.
Cheers, Ade.
