    Where do you gentleman stand on the mum debate?From my point of view a gun with a defaced mum is not very desirable,but many collectors disagree,BTW nice rifle.

    I prefer to have the mum,but I also have a T38 with an overstamped mum.But if it is ground down about 1/4 inch I wouldn`t buy it.

    Both my Type-38 and Type-99 have the mum, but if I found a rifle that I wanted , say a Type 44 cav. carbine that was in good shape, I could go "mumless"
