I just purchased a collection of items, this was part of it. I thought I would share it. I was wondering if anyone could tell the date of manufacture?

The date on this low number rifle would put it in the 1943 range.

I hit post before I could say WOW!!!!! That is a very nice type 2 paratrooper rifle, if you tell me it came with the bayonet I will pass out. I am waiting on a friend to tire of his and I can join the paratrooper club.

Thanks for the responses, Marty sorry no bayonet I sure wish I could say yes to that one LOL! The metal and bore are great on this one only wood damage, but I like it gives character!
