    Hi,

New K98k for my display - all matching numbers.
    Nice condition Kriegsmarine K98K - 243 (Mauser, Borsigwalde) 1940, WaA26, Ostsee marking.
Kriegsmarine stamp faint, but there - stamps in wood tend to become faint over time(especially exposed to moisture).

Neat rifle. The wood has definitely been sanded, which wears stamps down much faster and more harshly than moisture over time.

Agree with PRE for sure on the stock. From what I see though the metal looks quite good and untouched. How about that sling? Is the buckle stamped L&F by the way? Got a 243 "H" army issuance myself. Your gun is very nice looking. Hope your bore is good.

Very nice looking rifle and even better with the KM connection. Bit of a shame someone felt the need to sand and varnish the stock, but years ago I made the same mistake, thinking I was making an improvement. Having a sling is a bonus, quite costly to buy period ones these days.

Nice tidy rifle, I would hazard a guess that the sling is also original but whether it is marked or not we shall see.

    Thanks for the good comments

I like the overall look of this rifle - nice and clean.
...and quite costly - paid more than twice what I paid for the last K98k.

The sling is original, and in good condition - marked L&F.

Nice sling and in good shape. Originals can run around $100-150 over here. Not surprised you paid more for this one. Untouched 98ks quickly grabbed up by collectors these days.
