Thanks I agree, would this be a good candidate for a milspec resto? looks like its in good shape and I dont think It will hurt the value anymore? just the point of how much it will cost in the end? obviously need a new barrel and forestock parts etc correct? its a shame it was cut the wood is nice on this one and I cant attach a bayonet for a final CHARGE
Ouch! It pains me to see one that's been cut like that. It's not a commercial sporter so the value is pretty much what you are willing to pay for it. Restoration is possible - and the value would not be lessened, IMHO. It just won't be worth what a "regular" rifle would be worth, either. It looks like it is in very nice condition - enjoy it!!
