Here for your perusal is my Lee-Metford 1895 Sparkbrook MKII* which will arrive next week. I'm looking for a cleaning rod should anyone know where to obtain one. It currently has the pull-through cleaner. I assume that this MKII* takes the .303 Smokeless rather than the black powder ammo.

It's not a Mk3* it's a Metford, and it will shoot smokeless, If you shoot BP you will be spending hours cleaning it and it corrodes the barrel.Nice rifle, and a standard brush and rod will keep it clean. If it hasn't been shot for a long time try boiling water through the barrel first Then some cleaner like Brunox

Upon doing a bit more research I found that this rifle at one time served with the Royal Navy as shown by the "N" naval ownership stamp and was upgraded to take high-velocity ammo as shown by the "HV" stamp in front of the sight base.
