    Did the Red Army purchase weapons from any other nation or did they have to capture all of them?

    American Colts m1, with inscription in Russian instead of goverment model ( англ заказ- engl order) for navy, Smyth and Wessen revolvers, Winchester 1895, made in Westinghaus Mosin rifles, second war- Colt pistols M1A1, Thompson submashineguns, Browning mashineguns. Germany Mauser K96 ( Bolo) and any kind of civil orders of 6.35 and 7.65 guns

    Thanks, that is an interesting list. I have one of the M1891 Remington Nagant Mosins but thought they were made for the White Army. I know little about history of the USSR.
