For Rememberance Day 11.11.2010 - my SMLE No.III and other stores-1916 .303 mk VI ammunition and charger, 1917 P07 Bayonet refurbished at Lithgow in 1945.
The rifle is marked for post WW1 service with 2MD (Military district of New South Wales) and the CMF (Citizens Military Forces-Territorials or National Guard in other countries).
The long range Dial or Volley sights have been removed in post war refit and only the windage adjustment on the rear sight remains to show it as a III (apart from the Lithygow production stamp on the action body).
