First of all, beautiful K98, wish I could find a Luftwaffe issued like this one. I’m still a novice regarding the ins and outs of the K98 and would like to ask you what this (see picture) number combination means?, I received a nice K98 the other day bearing a similar combination (see second picture), thanks in advance.

I totally agree with you Ben, beautiful K98 and, to me personally, Luftwaffe issue makes it more interesting for me, sharp looking set you got there mister Grist, perhaps an idea to make a (sticky) K98 thread where everyone could post there K98 and related items or questions regarding this subject?, to me personal, such a thread would be very interesting and educating.
