Pretty nice woodwork on that one Ben, a lot of them are quite battered!...
Looks great. Just needs the bolt handle cleaning up a bit. Being "in the white" these can tarnish if not cared for.
Cheers, Ade.

On my "to list" Ade, not had chance to clean them yet

Most seem to be Arsenal reworks on the wood, but they do look stunning when done, are you starting a model army Ben?...............
Food for thought Jake lol

Hi Mark, there is 4 hole marks on the weapon and it looks like one set of serial numbers have been crossed out, I presumed this was part of the refurb? Does this mean it is an ex sniper model?

Yes it is! The lined thru number was the original scope serial number. You can also see that the receiver is more polished and smooth than standard infantry rifles.
You will typically see the scope numbers on Izhevsks. Most Tula manufactured snipers did not have them originally but were added later during refurb.
I've restored 2 ex-snipers (one Tula and one Izhevsk) for vintage sniper competition rifles and am working on a third for my son.
Nice catch!!
