Default Mauser Red 9 from Alderney, Channel Islands.

I had been after a Red 9 for a number of years and they always seemed to allude me. Then one day out of the blue I was offered this one with know history, it was picked up in Alderney after the Occupation. What some of you may not realise is that Alderney was the only part of the British Isle's to have an up and running SS concentration camp. Lager Sylt, destroyed before the end of the war and all SS had long departed for the French mainland.
Anyway that is where my gun came from and I still have not fired it. One day perhaps, but there's no rush.
    I hope you like it.
All the best from Jersey, Channel Islands.

Alderney, the only remaining feudal state in the British Isles. I didn't know about the "Camp" there, thanks for info. Nice Mauser. Don't they need decommissioning on Jersey? That's something else i didn't know. Stewy

I have always liked the red nine. It nice that the leather is in such great shape and also the tool. It is also great you know the history of the pistol. Thanks for sharing. Cheers, Robert
