Hi guys, is this a WW2 MG sling? To me it looks like a post war MG3 sling, does anyone have a picture of a genuine MG34/42 sling so I know what I am looking for?
Thanks

Ben I think its the wrong colour for a start, and the re- enforcing pads look odd, i believe you are correct in your assumptions
Ben, Ihave one around here some where, I'll get some picts. there should be a WaA on the metal and a three letter code and WaA in the leather...BILL

Hey Bill many thanks, is this a real one?
Ben
PS Bill is there any difference betwen a MG34 sling and MG42? Or were they the same?
Ben
I don't like the look of the first one too. The second one looks OK.
As far as I know, the sling was universal to both MG's?
Cheers, Ade.
Ben, There is no difference in MG34 and MG42 slings...The second one shown is a real German 34 or 42 MG sling...There are canvas slings as well..BILL
