    Default My Deac weapons

Thought I would just share some photos of my deac's,These have been collected for re-enactment purpose.
To start this is one of three brens I have,Will post more photos later.
This has the early barrel and adjustable legs and correct butt.
Have compared the early flash hider with a later one.
The Bren was at some stage made into a Drill weapon.
If anyone knows what the stamped markings on the butt are,I would be pleased to know.

'SLAZ' is the Slazenger wood shop where the wooden butt was made as a sub factory of Lithgow small arms (Slazenger make sporting goods incl tennis racquets). '42' is 1942 manufacture.

We live and learn !! I have heard of Slazenger before, but I must admit it never occured to me that it was a British company !!!! Great

This is my soe MKII sten,This was a rusty piece when i purchased it,Spent some time in the shed to reblue it.
I had the oppurtunity to purchase another one at the time,This had a front hand grip fitted,I really wish i had now !

Thanks to a helpful forum,I have just found out this is not an SOE item,But a sten made in Finland.

I have never seen this type of grip on a sten before. Is this something you made or did it come with the gun? if so do you know any of the history behind it?
