I do like your SVT 40 top conditioned piece with a history.

    Terry and Aly,
Yes they are all live. Thankfully here in the US we don't have the restrictive laws you have in the UK and Europe. Thanks for the kind words.
    Cheers.

    Thanatos,
I picked up the SVT about 30 years ago. Back then they were very difficult to find. It has long been one of my favorites.
    Cheers,

Got a couple of Mosin's myself, and one a M-39 so far just occupying closet space. But had to follow up on lithgow's comment: Can't beat the Finns...cause the russians sure tried- guess that may be an old joke around here- but excuse me I'm new.

Unfortunately sheer guts and determination will only get you so far-the Soviets did grind them down eventually after perhaps the most determined defense of WW2 (a toss up with the Greeks vs Italy in 1940).

As far as the bayo for the m28 rifle the usual issue was the m35 bayo-the m39s you have were rare as the Finns were more concerned with making rifles by that stage during the war-the earlier 'sword' types will fix on the m39 rifles.
