This is my DOT made 1945 MG34. Unlike my MG42 which is civilian ownable, this is a "pre-dealer" sample. For those that do not know, unfortunately people who are not dealers can not buy it, but on the plus side, as a dealer, pre dealer samples can be bought, and then kept by the dealer when they give up their license. Because of this, there is still a market collectibility for them around a third to half the price of what transferables cost.
I never wanted an MG34 or a premay dealer sample, but the same dealer that sold me the MG42 made me a offer I couldn't refuse for this gun, and since it can be kept after I give up my license, I figured....why not? I'm glad I made that decision, because it is an excellent gun. Very interesting to see the similarities between it and the MG42, but also the VAST amount of differences.
I hope you enjoy the couple pictures
