    Thumbs up My M1A1 Thompson

    This is my much loved,But used and abused Thompson,This has been used for various re-enactments.
    It has been dropped,Thrown,Blown up and run over,I have had to replace the butt and the magazine,But she still keeps going.

    Not sure what the markings are near the barrel,But I am sure someone on here will know.

    I hope the original poster hasn't been holding his breath...but this is a Savage-manufactured M1A1 with the FJA marking - the circled 'GEG' mark indicates George E Goll, an inspector assigned to Savage by Auto-Ordnance.

    Mossie, it could be an M1, later upgraded to A1 specs. Could you show a pic of the S/N and model designation?
