    This rifle is one of 150 MAS49/56's in 7.62 NATO. Note the markings on the receiver
    showing the caliber and the serial number. The serial number is below the script rather than vertically in front of the script as in the 49/56 in 7.62X54 French. I also have another in the original French caliber. Both rifles are in mint condition and unfired.

    Very Nice rifle!! but what fun is it to own one and not fire it? I'm afraid I'd have to try that one

    When I want to shoot 7.62 NATO I take my TRG 22 to the range. However I think I will shoot this one when the weather warms up. We are at 5300 feet here in Prescott so unlike the lower altitude parts of AZ we get lots of colder weather here.
