Chaps, I got this today and would like opinions on if possible? The rifle is a SMLE dated 1916 and has the B.S.A makers mark I dont know much about these to be honest but these are my observations. To start with it is a ex live firer that was deactivated when the owner got too old to fire it and it has been a wall gun, The wood work seems to match, all the same colour and looks like no bits have been added. Same goes for all the metal work, same sort of colour, same amount of wear looks like it been with the rifle from new. It has matching number I think, not sure how many these are meant to have, it is numbered 90715. These numbers are on the bolt, the chamber housing, the sight and the front muzzle shroud. It has a mag cut off which apparently is desirable and various other small marking on the metal work. If anyone can tell me any thing about it, good or bad it would be great. If you want any specific photos just ask.
Cheers
