Sweet.
I am not really a gun guy but I have always wanted a 1911 to display with my
my stuff.

I was addicted to the "Hokey-Pokey" but I've turned
myself around.
Nice addition to any collection and much sought after these day. Got to fire one years back from WW 2 vintage. I was thrilled. Thanks for sharing.
Nice 1911! Looks like early 1944 production if I read the serial number correct. Thanks for sharing.

I specialize in M1 carbines and Lugers.
I wanted to bring one of these Rem Rand 1911s back from a family holiday to Florida 25 years ago (I was 15 but had a British Section 1 with .45 on it) but my dad wouldn’t have any of it. I thought he couldn’t be bothered with customs but then bought himself a 22-250 rifle and then I realised he had his own motives!
I have a Remington 1911 A-1 I purchased last year through the Civilian Marksmanship Program as a couple of years ago the Goverment started releasing these through this program and they are selling these through a lottery. As with any of these they have been rebuilt maybe several times but this one is a good shooter.
I have modern M1911A1's that I had refinished with a WW2 phosphate parkerizing and they have the look and feel of a WW2 piece
all GI parts fit my modern post war M1911A1
