    Howdy, I recently bought this barrel at an antique store with a german helmet as a lot for $85. I thought it was from a US model 1917 but i'm not quite sure. It's covered in what i believe is cosmoline and is in perfect condition from what i can tell and has no rust anywhere. I will post the helmet in a different thread.
