I just became the proud owner of this WW1 Krag rifle. I don´t know to much about this rifle so any comment would be welcome.

It looks like it's converted to hunting rifle. A nice piece though!
I would be happy to have it. Thanks for showing.

Hello-this appears to be a Danish Krag mechanism in a Norwegian stock-Danish stocks are straight wristed while Norwegian stocks have a 'pistol grip'-the mechanism is marked 'M 89' for model 1889- again a Danish marking-it looks to have been 'sporterised' as a hunting rifle with a fixed rear sight after being sold off from army use.
these rifles are sportorised/hunting rifle a lot because of their accuracy it is still a very nice rifle and it may be possible to restore it back to original condition

Thanks for all the quick replies!
The saying in gun magazines goes "There is NOTHING as smooth as a Krag" rifle action. Since it has already been sporterized, probably in the 50s or 60s, just clean her up & enjoy....
I agree with last posting-I'd love to have that rifle for hunting!!
