Old pistol and powder flask

Hi guys, does anyone know more info about these items?
They are being advertised as 18th century pieces.
Any help much appreciated.

I agree, not worth much and 19th as opposed to 18th century judging by the fact that the pistol is a percussion.

As for the value, the asking price is 60GBP which is IMO cheap.

Hand carved replaced grips-probably period done, but badly carved....and the pistol is quite likely to be missing parts as well. The flask is probably worth the asking price, but the pistol would make a good paper weight.

The leather body, and the long nozzle makes me think shot flask, not a powder flask. It looks to be missing the flapper at the end. The flapper held the shot as you tipped the flask on end and opened the flapper connected to the flask itself, to throw the shot charge into the nozzle, then closed that flapper, held it over the barrel and opened the other one and poured the shot into the barrel. A powder flask would have been made from brass, horn or wood. Real black powder can be set of by static electricity and these 3 materials don't build that up. Plus leather would allow moisture to enter the flask and ruin the powder.

I would say 19th century also, because the pistol is percussion, not flintlock. I know there were a lot of different manufacturers of black powder pistols, but I've never seen this style in a flintlock, only percussion like this piece. Percussion wasn't invented until around the1830s. So 18th century isn't correct.
