Very Nice!!!. I have been in the gun business for 26 years and I have one just like it (NEW UNFIRED). It has a date of 1949 on it. I purchase 3 of these and kept the best one. At that time the russians were hurting for money and sold a lot of these. I don't see new ones anymore. I have one of the first chinese SKS's that were made to except the AK mags. ( Not a conversion). I purchased it in 1988. Then I purchased a Brand New Yugo SKS. They are all on my office wall in my gun shop. It is better than ART in my opinion.

Re: Original non-refurbed unfired 1950 Russian SKS
Having a 1949 unfired one is a prize, congratulations.
I've been checking the sales histories of SKS's and find that unfired early original Russian ones sell for around an average of $200-300 dollars more then ones even if fired only a few times. That re-inforces my decision not to fire mine, Ray
