Wow!! Great collection you have there. Those would be worth small fortune over here. Can you fire them all. I have two. BYF 44 and 243 1940 coded. All Matching ones in good shape going for at least $1200 in many parts of USA. thanks for showing.

    Hi mauser9,

In France the law say; you cannot shot with a weapon that used military ammo, you must rechambered the weapon in a civil caliber. The cal. 8X60 is an old military caliber used in the reichswehr after WW1 & declassed in France as an hunting caliber (civil cal). The 3 mm différence between the original cal. 8X57 is not a problem, you have enought place in the 5 rounds magazine.
Another exemple, for an US M1 Garand or US M1 Carbin, you must rechambered the weapon in a shorter cal. 30/06 short or .30 short, the case is 1 mm shorter than the original ammo, so you cannot firing the original ammo, the bolt doesnt close.
Hope the answer to your question is clear.
Best regards from Alsace , France.

    Hi mauser9,

To own a rifle, only a rifle, you must are 18 years old & member of a shooting club. All full auto weapons are forbiten, for a pistol or a revolver you must have a spécial autorisation délivered by the local country représentant of the gouvernment.
Only the members of a hunting reserve are autorised to hunt & they cannot hunt what they want, the local hunting autority fixe the sort of animal & the number that you can hunt in a year.
    Sorry for my bad english.
Best regards from Alsace , France.
    Carfin.

Always nice to hear of regulations concerning firearms and hunting in other countries. Your English is fine. I cannot speak French or German at all. Best wishes for now
