    I have a couple of pinfire revolvers ( i just like them i dont know why) My question is i have seen so called millitery patern ones for sale. this seems to be any with a lanyard ring. is there any record of the use of such strange guns.

    Many European armies used the pinfire "Lefaucheux" revolvers from the fifties till the seventies of the nineteenth century. See the French M1854.

    They were very common. Many were later altered to centre fire.
