Hi there lithgow Thanks for the comment...
My crushed rev. is way too big to be of .32 cal. It's a S&W 1905 i think, pretty enormous and still a handfiller. I can't make out the inscription on the left side of barrel but my best guess is that it's a .38 S&W not spl. Anyway it's an eye-catching paperweight resting on my desk. Nice handguns you have....

The caliber is 7.62mmx38R(Rimmed), the same as the Russian cal. The rev. was bought in small quantities from the Belgian commercial market during 1908s for the Greek Macedonian fighters before WWI (was considered a real powerhouse in terms of velocity ; by the era standards and very well made) and later from the Greek Army where it fought during the Asian Minor war and the outbreak of WWII (Albanian front). The greek national ammunition factory (ΕΠΚ), before WWII, was producing the cartridges but now the caliber is considered obsolete.

I thought that living in Belgium, you had previously encountered a Belgian commercial Nagant. Anyway it's in a nice condition and of course a part of the greek war heritage.
