    Exclamation Promised Bren Pictures

Hi again everyone, here are the pictures of my Bren that I promised
In detail is shown a fault that the seller neglected to tell me about, the front tripod locking lever has snapped so that it no longer locks into the body. Not only is this annoying as it keeps dropping down, its pretty sharp as well, I've stabbed myself on it a few times. A glance round e-Bay shows someone selling a lever for the butt stock tripod bracket, and some pretty vague measurements show that it should fit in the front bracket as well, but does anyone have any idea about how to remove that front bracket? Theres a small screw on the inside but I've had showers of tiny pieces before......

P.S. Although not all of these were taken by me they are all of the same Bren

Cheers, I've had a fiddle around inside and ordered the replacement too
Yeah, I've been having suspicions too, the bi-pods fixed, but it has a folding cocking handle, it seems to be some sort of blend of the MKs 1 & 2.
I'm afraid I cant really help there, it was just a private sale from a guy, but it was proofed in Birmingham and submitted by Sherwood Armourys

or they have deactivated a few at once and mixed up the parts , you will have to find someone who has a mk2 with a mk1 but group and do a swap of but groups , i have a mk2 with a mk1 carry handle if you are interested in swaping that cheers ian

    Hmmmm, quite a mismatch then
What are the Mk1m's and Mk1*'s? I've never come across them :S
Also, does anyone know where I could pick up one of the sustained fire tripods? They seem to be quite rare....

mk1m and mk1* are modified bren mk 1 with some mk2 parts and some extra machineing on the reciever but the recievers are marked as such
