    After WW2 the Dutch adopted an FN Mauser Carbine in 8mm for the police.. The top of the recievers were first marked with a crown 'W' for Queen Wilhelmina (Reign 1890-1948), when Juliana became Queen (reign 1948-1980) the crest on new produced carbines changed to a Crown 'J'..     FN guns are Belgian.I am a little naive,but I believe they speak a French dialect

    Looks like a nice little carbine Bill.

    The country speaks two languages. The Northerners speaks Flemish, which is very close to Dutch, while the southners speaks French.

    These are interesting and handy carbines. I have one in 7mm made for Venezuala. I can imagine the recoil on these in 8mm!
