    Dean,
    What you see are Italian pressure test proof marks that show the pistol was tested and passed in 1939. They don't indicate the weapon's country of origin. Any other markings?

    I do not think that it is a Rast Gasser Revolver but an Italian Commercial Revolver... Here is a 8mm Rast-Gasser Austrian Military Issue in 1902...BILLClick image for larger version.
