    Default Remington 03A3

I picked this up for about $250. It had a nice 60's-70's sporter stock on it when I bought it. Receiver dated to around February of 1943 and the barrel is March 1943. Bore is almost pristine, the receiver peep sight is an redfield, the dovetail for the original sight was nicely ground off. The parts I bought added are the lower stock, handguard and metal stock parts which I bought as a kit from e-sarco. Total investment on parts was around 180-190 dollars. I shot it last weekend with a mix of ammo ranging from 150 to 180gr soft points, it did better with the 180 gr SP though. Only part I need now is the sight protector.

It's a wasted trip baby. Nobody said nothing about locking horns with no Tigers.

Nice rifle - and so good to see it back to its original glory. I'll be heading to a gun show in a few weeks and am always on the look for a neat restoration possibility.

And, you have a a beautiful dog, too!!

Thanks guys, some sad news about the rifle. The recoil flat on the stock broke when I was firing the rifle, so it will be out if action till I get it back . The dog isn't for sale
