Older guns like this often end up far from their country of origin, so where it was found might not be where it was made. Looking at it I'd say its been cut down for some reason, maybe for poaching/illegal game hunting?

Absolutely. That is why i wrote "from" or "found in". Maybe the country it was found in can give a clue. It is a very crude made fire arm. Maybe a Swedish farmer gun?

If it was not for the S i would say Russian East European.
