Hi everyone, bought this deactivated Spanish Ruby model 1915 7.65mm pistol today, for a low price. It appears to be a post WW1 commercial version. Any comments welcome. Doug

Hello Douglas,
For what reason do you think it is a post ww1 commercial pistol? What makes it different from a French used WW1 example?
Looks nice! Having one (even deactivated) would mean major trouble in my country!
Cheers,
Emile
Thanks for your that. My understanding is that the French military pistols are usually marked with distinctive stamps such as can be seen here Spanish Eibar/Ruby Pistols « Forgotten Weapons.
Neat pistol, nicely shot. Why is the slide legend so thin? It doesn't look refin'ed, so from wear of poor original stamping?
The Finnish Army also used a number of these
Also looks like a re blue Doug
