    Hello Douglas,

    For what reason do you think it is a post ww1 commercial pistol? What makes it different from a French used WW1 example?

    Looks nice! Having one (even deactivated) would mean major trouble in my country!

    Thanks for your that. My understanding is that the French military pistols are usually marked with distinctive stamps such as can be seen here Spanish Eibar/Ruby Pistols « Forgotten Weapons.

    Neat pistol, nicely shot. Why is the slide legend so thin? It doesn't look refin'ed, so from wear of poor original stamping?
