    Nicely done. The "steps" in the barrel are a dead give-away that it was originally a military issued Rife. Most American Smiths took the time to remove the steps during the customizing process, but only for cosmetic purposes.

    I have come to the conclusion that Gary's Rifle was originally built as a sporter by the factory. I may be wrong, but in this case I don't think so.
