My m/96 in 6.5 x 55mm, made 1914 at the Carl Gustafs factory-will be shooting it this weekend as part of the WA Arms and Armour Society collectable weapons shoot-the best made of all of the Mauser action rifles, she's still in good nick after nearly a century-the butt stock features the sighting adjustment plaque for 'torped' pointy ammo and the maintenance disc that records bore condition, both of which are typical for Swedish m96/ service rifles.

Nice 96 especially with #1 bore condition.

Not quite sure how the scanned photo has turned out but this is the WA Ams and Armour Society shoot a couple of weeks ago-Boys antitank rifle being shot with Browning .50 cal ammo-was 'socked' in the jaw by it as the sights were hard to get into place as I have a big head (certainly by 1940s standards!). Extremely loud in a semi enclosed space...
