It actually has been framed, alongside a Nagant Revolver and its 1943 dated

Thanks for the comments guys Meyerse, I assume that both weapons are post war refurbished like the vast majority of deactivated Russian weapons in the UK. And I agree Ade, this weapon looks like it could take a hell of a beating and still work
