Type 38 jap mum

Do you all think this MUM have been defaced or anything on purp. I got this from a close friend that his dad shiped back in 43 with a bayo could be a story can not confirm sine he is gone now even though a friend or not would like all opinions thanks in advance ..............ERIC-Z. BY THE WAY I HAVED THIS IN MY HANDS FOR OVER 10 YR

Hi Eric,

When they defaced these for Emperor, they really defaced them. Usually they ground them off. The three marks on the top here are not an attempt to deface the mum. They seem to be incidental pings with some minor surface rust. Nice markings.

You got mine , but you did'nt like it. As wellI alluded to a bubba trying to drill it for a scoep mount. Seen plenty of bubba jobs like that too.
