My statement is based on what I have seen since I have been here. Not trying to disrespect any members or visitors that appreciates firearms. Firearm posts on this site cannot be more than one 1/100 of the posts.
I post any firearm on this site to share knowledge and examples here even if I post it to the main Gunboards or Luger Gunboards.

I would like someone else to verify the unit marking on this gun since I am only 80% confident it is correct.
John's reading of the unit marking is correct; 169th Infantry Regiment, machine gun company, weapon number 50.
Nice luger. I have one just like it in my WWI side of my war room. The unit markings are correct with the 169th.

Its not that often we see these early Pre WW 1 Lugers.
