    I was looking at an early (1932) production Enfield No.2 Mk 1 revolver today-still had the hammer spur on the hammer-it was marked 'ESC 12' on the cylinder-anyone know what that would be representing?

    English steel corporation.. Batch 12. They were keeping track of which weapons were made from which batch of steel in case of future problems.
