Default Unkown rifle,, Probably British. Need help.

    Hello everybody.
I found this weird rifle in a restaurant in Geece. The owner told me that the only thing he knows is that it's British (??). He found it on the top of a mountain.
    I think it's from late 1800 - early 1900.
    Any opinions??

Was the mountain in Greece?-can't think of any way such a British rifle would have ended up there.

I was thinking the same thing. Although I have just found a post by another forum member stating that the Greeks did use them.

That's what the owner told me. He said that a tourist found it on a mountain at the greek island of Poros. Who knows! Maybe there were some Zulu's in Greece too.. Hehe!
