US&S 1911 A1 with London House proof marks

Hi everyone!

I'm the proud new owner of a US&S 1911A1, unfortunately not 100% factory.

The slide, the barrel and the barrel bushing have been changed. The slide is a third type from US&S (should be first) and the barrel is a Flannery (should be High Standard).

Maybe the pistol had a shock in the muzzle and that is why these parts have been changed, but impossible to know.

Anyway, if I am writing down here is to know about the London House proof marks on it.

Is it possible to know when they were done? On the barrel, there is a "MP 81", is it in 1981?

No Idea. British Proof marks can be 2 things. It is a dewat/ or lend-lease. can you post clearer photos of the proofs??

I'm not able to do it with my actual camera.

The usual logo of the London House is on the frame and slide. And on the barrel there is MP with something I can't read on it followed by 45' 900' 7tons and a MP 81 under.

It appears that the MP is for a magnetic particle test in (normally) 1981.

But does it mean every other marks were made in 81?
