    I finally got the gun. All numbers match bore is great. I put a few more things in the picture for fun. What are the marks on the stock? Hope you like the rifle. Please tell me good or bad about the rifle MARTY

    Superb Mauser in top of the line condition! Even has the site hood! Excellent to see one like this, as they are disappearing more and more over time! Great find!

    I remember when we were all young, there was a circulating myth(not true, of course) that if the rifle had a bent bolt on it, it was made to have a Scope!

    Thanks for the reviews of the rifle. I was nervous about putting out the money for the rifle. But I am very excited about doing it. I keep bring it out of the safe and just looking at it. I have a correct m1 garand but thats not a hard to come by as a matching k98 because every part having a serial number. I am so glad I did not let this one get away. Marty

    Hi,from info on other forums,the markings in the sling cutout are just in-house inspection markings,here`s the marks on my byf42 rifle...Pete.

    Pete, love to see pictures of the byf42. The peep show of the stock looked promising for a good looking rifle. And thanks for the the info on the markings that what i thought it might be also, but had to be sure. Marty
