Article about: Thanks Ade, I'll look into that. Where would you get a working K98 from tho? I'm sure you couldn't import one?

    Default Vet bringback kar98k

Hello all i recently recieved a vet bring back kar98k. All the parts match and are stamped 8742. It is an obendorf 1939 made kar98k. The only non matching part is the bolt but the bolt matches within itself. There are many good "eagles" the rifle. What is interesting is that the stock has Weimar eagles on it but the actual metal parts have the Nazi eagle on it. It is a very great rifle and has alot of history to it. The bore is very worn but still servicable. I will post pics tonight or tomorrow.

sounds great..! the bolt is a comon thing as the bolts were taken off and thrown into a large pile when captured ,so when the vet wanted a rifle he would grab a rifle and get a bolt from the pile..this is from what i was told and makes sence.! cant wait to see pictures...

I got a 1937 K98k with Weimar eagles, suprised to see it on 1939 K98k.

perhaps the stock was a leftover from some manufacturing during the
    Weimar days
