No way Colt 1903 - too short to be it - It is clearly FN Mle 1903 which is next PARABELLUM P-08 ( There is not such pistol as Luger ).

I was going off the description in the article that specifically calls out the .32 ACP cartridge, and that it's a Colt. The FN 1903 was not chambered in .32 ACP-it was chambered in 9x20mm SR Browning Long cartridge. Your description of the length of the pistol also supports my observation. The pistol appears to be similar to this one:

As you can see, the OAL on the pistol in the auction is a better match for the one in the photo, as the OAL on the FN pistol appears to be greater (205 mm vs 171 mm for the Colt):

P-08 is colloquially known in the US as the Luger.
All those stories illustrate why I am a member of the NRA,,,and (at least for now), we are still a free people here in the US.
