Here for your viewing pleasure in Winchester Model 1895 7.62mm Russian Contract Rifle serial number 283932 1916 production and falls within the serial number ranges 174,234-377,412 for the second contract of 200,000 rifles singed 27 August 1915 and completed deliveries by December 1916. Rifle has Russian “XN3” acceptance proof mark on the right side of the frame.

Extremely nice. My Blue Book says over 293,000 produced for Russian Gov. Hope this is correct. Must be one hefty rifle! Love those old Winnys. Made super solid. Thanks for sharing as we don't often see one of these.

Amazing conditions and a quite rare rifle. I have only an dug up bayo for this rifle.
Find in Slovenija...
The bayo was taken on Estern front..by Austrohungarian.
The Austrohungarian unit like Gendarmerie or Transport troops, and others second line troops....have many type of differen rifle like: arisaka, mossin nagant, rumanian mauser ecc, ecc
