The DSM34, an interesting model. Most armies of the time had a training rifle in .22 but post WW1 the allies placed severe restrictions on Germany, to attempt to control/ prevent rearmament. Consequently military arms were restricted but "sporting" arms manufacture was allowed. So the marking "Sportmodell" on the training rifle is a nod towards those post WW1 restrictions. Note there is no lug to attach a bayonet, but later in the 1930's Germany was feeling bold enough to produce the KKW model with bayonet lug, and a 5 round magazine.
You rifle seems in very good order. A nice collectable piece.
Like it.
I like it too!! A rare and highly collectible version I am sure. Thanks for showing.
